One of the much-awaited films of the year, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in the pivotal roles is having a new release date again. Earlier, the film was scheduled to hit the screens on August 31, 2018, and was postponed to September 14, 2018. Within a week, the release date has been postponed to September 21, 2018.

Helmed by Shree Narayan Singh and co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Shree Narayan Singh, Nitin Chandrachud, Kusum Arora and Nishant Pitti, the film wrapped up its shoot with a song, Hard Hard in Mumbai. Recently, the pictures of both the actresses, Shraddha and Yami (playing the role of a lawyer) took the internet by storm.

‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is about creating awareness on the social issue of electricity shortage and to encourage authorities to investigate the inaccuracies of electricity bills. The film was shot in Tehri, Uttarakhand and Mumbai mostly. With this, Shraddha and Shahid will be sharing the screen for the second time after ‘Haider’.
