Actor Shahid Kapoor is currently high on 'Udta Punjab' success and on his impending fatherhood. He has been receiving rave reviews by playing the drug-addict rockstar Tommy Singh in the controversial film. Apart from all this, Shahid is way too busy with adorable wife Mira as they will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary in a couple of days. But more than that, the couple is super excited to welcome their first baby.

Recently at an interview with a leading daily, when Shahid was asked how is he preparing for fatherhood. He said he would be taking a paternity leave to be with Mira. "I want to be around Mira during her pregnancy. This is my once in a lifetime opportunity or twice in a lifetime opportunity, maybe (laughs). I am taking a full-fledged paternity leave. He also adds to say, "I was almost 14 when my brother (Ishaan) was born. I was grown up enough to know what my mother went through during her pregnancy. So, I want to be around Mira."

Shahid has been taking special care and keeping a close watch on Mira atleast at this time. He is making sure that he is by her side during regular checkups and doctor visits.
