Popular star Shahid Kapoor, who is all set to make his OTT debut with Raj and DK's 'Farzi', recently opened up about what success of 'Pathaan' means for Hindi film industry. For the unversed, 'Pathaan' which marked Shahrukh Khan's return to big screen after 4 years, has turned out to be a huge box office success and one of the biggest commercial hit of his career.
In a recent conversation with Connect FM Canada, Shahid said that he has a question for Shahrukh Khan. He said, “Pathaan ki agli party kab aur kahan hogi? Hum besabri se intezaar kar rahe hain (When’s the next success party for Pathaan. We’re waiting).”
'Pathaan' broke the dry spell of Bollywood where all the large scale and promising movies were failing at box office. Sharing what this success means for Hindi cinema, Shahid said, "Money. And hopefully some confidence in oneself. I think everybody is losing confidence in themselves only. We should be confident. I think Pathaan is a result of a lot of confidence. A lot of effort, of course, and a lot of work. But they really backed themselves, right? And that’s what works.”
