Shahid Kapoor & Kangana Ranaut gets paired up

For the first time ever, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut are going to be on-screen couple. And the one who is bringing them together is none other than, 'Talaash' famed helmer Reema Kagti for her next film, titled 'Mr.Chaalu' - to be bannered under Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment.
Earlier, Kagti had roped in Saif Ali Khan for the lead role. However, talks are that the Nawaab rejected the offer since he was not satisfied with the fee. Hence, the makers moved over to choose Shahid instead. It is said that the 'Haider' actor was quite impressed with the script and his character and agreed to do it since he has never played such role.
Sources claimed that Shahid's character in 'Mr.Chaalu' is that of a womaniser while Kangana plays his lady love. Also Richa Chadda features as one of Shahid's love interest in the film.
Interestingly, 'Mr.Chaalu' brings back Pooja Bhatt on big screen, nearly after thirteen years. She will be playing a detective in the film, sources added.
