Despite his best efforts and dedication, Shahid Kapoor failed to captivate the audience with his performance in the sports drama 'Jersey'. Remake of a Telugu blockbuster of same name, 'Jersey' recieved a fair amount of love from some people but its performance at box office was quite underwhelming.
However, on a personal level, Shahid is not disappointed by the performance of 'Jersey' and he says that the film will always be close to his heart. According to a recent report in The Indian Express, Shahid stated, "Jersey received a lot of love. But there’s a lot for all of us to learn right now. It’s been two years since Covid and we need to understand how the audience feels. It’s time for all of us to learn. Jersey will always be close to my heart, it has taught me that anything can happen in life."
Talking about future projects, Shahid has Ali Abbas Zafar's untitled action flick and a web series by Raj & DK in pipeline at the moment.
