For the first time since his son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Mumbai police in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case, Shah Rukh Khan today visited him at the Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai. As per national media reports, the Bollywood superstar interacted with his son for a good 20 minutes.

The visit comes just a day after a special court in Mumbai held that it can't grant bail to Aryan Khan on the grounds that his WhatsApp chats allegedly reveal his involvement in drug activities deemed illicit.
While SRK's visit to the jail is the first in person, Aryan Khan, last week, had a video call with his parents. Why did it take the 'Zero' actor so many days to visit in person? The Maharashtra government had put some restrictions on the physical movement of outsiders into jails in view of the pandemic. The restrictions have been eased and SRK used the opportunity to see his son.
Meanwhile, many are saying that the denial of bail to Aryan Khan is nothing but harassment and injustice. Then there is the opposite view as well. "If the court has been consistently rejecting his bail, despite that battery of lawyers, it is obvious that the proof against Aryan Khan is huge," tweeted social media user Shefali Vaidya.
