Renowned filmmaker Aanand L Rai who has helmed movies like, 'Tanu Weds Manu', 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' and 'Raanjhanaa' is all set to work with King Khan- Shah Rukh Khan for his next film. Sources say that, Shah Rukh Khan will be essaying the role of a dwarf in this film. On approaching Aanand L Rai he said, "Yes he is playing a dwarf. Shah Rukh and I have to start working. Right now, we are scripting. But meeting that man makes you believe that nothing can beat experience. He is such an experienced human being. He has seen life not just as an actor but as a person. He has such a big heart and is an intelligent man. He has a great understanding of human beings. I am in love with that man.
When Aanand L Rai was questioned about SRK`s role as a dwarf, he said: "For me, it was a story of a man who is just three feet one inch tall. That is it and nothing beyond it. Mr Khan, for this is purely because nobody understands ordinariness better than him. I needed somebody who looked very confident and sure. The kind of a person he is, he puts his heart and soul in a character".
In the popular South movie 'Aboorva Sagodharargal' actor Kamal Haasan had acted as a dwarf in his 1989 blockbuster while Anupam Kher has also essayed the role of a dwarf in Salman Khan starrer 'Jaan-E-Mann'. We just hope that King Khan will take a cue from these two veterans. Moreover it is said that Anand and his creative team have planned to resort to graphics for the dwarf portions and there will be very minimal physical effort required. Sources also say that, the graphics team of Hollywood blockbuster 'Lord of the Rings' is likely to be roped in for the project. We have to wait for official announcement about the cast and crew and also about the commencement of the project.
After winning hearts from his last release 'Fan', Shah Rukh Khan is expected to win at the box office again with 'Raes' that is scheduled to hit the screens this year.
