Shah Rukh Khan is teaming up for the first time with critically acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and the title has been announced as 'Dunki'. Hirani is known for making pathbreaking films such as 'Munnabhai MBBS' and 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai' starring Sanjay Dutt and '3 Idiots' and 'PK' starring Aamir Khan. His most recent film was the Sanjay Dutt biopic 'Sanju' starring Randhir Kapoor as the famed actor.

The other hot update on 'Dunki' is that Tapsee Pannu is going to play the female lead and this will be her first film with both SRK and Hirani. The pretty 'Aadukalam' actress is going strong in female centric roles and her inclusion in this star vehicle has caused ripples in Bollywood.

'Dunki' is all set to go on floors soon and is slated for release on 22nd December 2023 during the Christmas weekend. Hirani has hinted in the hilarious announcement video that the film will have a high dose of comedy, emotions and romance but nothing in SRK's regular style.
