Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' released on January 25th worldwide has proved to be the Bollywood Badshah's strongest ever comeback in his long career. The film on its 27th day at the box office has crossed the magical Rs 1000 crores collection. In the couple of years the films of the leading superstars Bollywood have failed and its safe to say that 'Pathaan' has brought back hope to Hindi cinema as well.

The rupees thousand crores mark is a rare occurrence as far as Indian films are concerned and it has been achieved by only a handful of films. Aamir Khan's female centric sports drama 'Dangal' was the first to do it n the year 2016 with a final collection of Rs.1968 crores.

The other three are all South films and two of them are by the same director. S.S. Rajamouli the man with the midas touch has breached the 1000 Crores mark with his 'Baahubali 2' in 2017 and 'RRR' in 2022 raking in Rs.1810 crores and Rs.1200 crores respectively.

Prashanth Neel's gangster saga 'KGF 2' that had Yash as Rocky Bhai the don of all dons collected Rs.1250 crores worldwide in 2022. Now 'Pathaan' directed by Siddharth Anand and costarring Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan and John Abraham is the fifth film in this prestigious list. Now the thousand crores question is which upcoming film will cross the landmark or even topple some of the films from the top five list?
