Far far from the gloss and splendor of his famous reputation, Bollywood great Shah Rukh Khan recently revealed about his "simple" family life. Speaking at the Locarno Film Festival, where he received the esteemed Pardo Alla Carriera award, Khan offered some personal observations, including a fascinating anecdote about his eldest son, Aryan Khan, looking like his preferred star Jackie Chan at birth.
Shah Rukh underlined in a discussion with Giona A. Nazzaro, artistic director of the festival, that his family life is exactly like any other. "We lead quite normal family life," he said. "At home, it's simple; outside stardom may appear bigger than life with thousands of people staring at you. The children are straightforward, and I spend much time with them just like any other father would."
Saying, "The wife is sweet, she keeps things in check, bringing wisdom to our life," Shah Rukh also praised Gauri Khan for keeping balance in their life.
Knowing the privileges his name gives his kids, Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, Shah Rukh said he wanted them to stay rooted. "I want them to be modest about the privileges I have brought about for them. They must realize they have to emerge from the shadow of being the offspring of a celebrity," he said.
Khan also confirmed his forthcoming Sujoy Ghosh-directed flick "King," during the ceremony. Suhana Khan reportedly to co-star, with Abhishek Bachchan portraying the adversary, but not formally announced.
