Amid lockdown, Shah Rukh Khan has contributed to Covid-19 relief efforts, offering PPE kits and his office space in Mumbai as a quarantine area. And now, as the Covid-19 tally of Kerala crossed the five-lakh mark on Wednesday, the Bollywood superstar's NGO Meer Foundation donated 20,000 N-95 masks for the virus resistance activities in the state.
Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan got to know about the COVID resistance activities in the state through actors Indrajith and Rajshri Deshpande. Soon he lent a helping hand to the state through his Meer Foundation that, was formed for the empowerment of acid attack survivors and is now also involved in COVID-19 prevention.
Kerala Health Minister K K Shailaja has conveyed her gratitude to Shah Rukh Khan and Meer Foundation, for their massive contribution.
It may be remembered that during the 55th birthday of the actor, his Kochi based fan club named Shah Rukh Khan Fans Centre offered financial help to the needy patient at the Ernakulam General Hospital. The actor had even appreciated the fans on his social media handle.
