Shah Rukh Khan and several other Bollywood celebrities test positive for Covid-19: Details

Shah Rukh Khan, among numerous other Bollywood celebrities, tested positive for Covid-19. Although there hasn’t been any official confirmation of the same, it has been reported that nearly 50 guests who attended Karan Johar’s 50th birthday party contracted the viral infection.
Other celebrities who tested positive for the virus include Katrina Kaif, Kartik Aaryan, Akshay Kumar and Aditya Roy Kapur, among others. However, reports mention that Kartik Aaryan did not attend Karan Johar’s birthday bash and had contracted the infection from one of his co-stars from the recently released Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The grand celebration of producer Karan Johar’s birthday party happened on May 25 at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai and the event was attended by over at least a hundred celebrities.
A source close to Karan Johar reportedly rubbished the rumours of his birthday bash being a Covid hotspot. “Karan Johar is currently shooting for Koffee With Karan and undergoing the mandatory RTPCR test. All protocols on the sets are being followed. The guests too are part of the process. The reports of almost 50 guests present at the party testing positive is bizarre. The party was held almost 10 days back and it is only now that Aditya Roy Kapur has confirmed of testing Covid 19 positive,” the source was quoted as saying.
