Shah Rukh Khan starrer action saga 'Jawan' is all set to fly high with the theatrical release tomorrow. The Bollywood industry is catching a fresh breath at the box office this year after a rough phase. King Khan, who revived the theatrical business with 'Pathaan', is going to redefine all the existing collection records.
The promotion for the movie has been done right and there is a massive excitement around Jawan with the fans celebrating all the assets including posters, trailers and songs. This action entertainer marks the Bollywood debut of director Atlee and Nayanthara and it also stars prominent Tamil actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Yogi Babu and Priyamani. Jawan is looking at a massive opening in South, levelling with the craze in North India.
As per the reports, the advance bookings for Jawan are phenomenal and above SRK's previous best Pathaan. All three versions (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu) together are looking at 75 crores opening day in India, while it is likely to cross 125 crores on Day 1 worldwide. It is said that the overall advance bookings for Jawan is so huge that it might be the highest ever topping Pathaan. However, we have to wait and see if Jawan surpasses Pathaan's opening week gross.
On the other hand, around 5 lakh tickets have been sold by the national multiplexes which is the third or fourth highest ever. Sources tell us that Jawan is looking to better Pathaan in regions such as West Bengal, South India, Gujarat, East Punjab and Madhya Pradesh. These are the strongest areas for the film. The gross of the dubbed versions will also be the highest for a Hindi film. And, the Hindi version itself is expected to have a dream run in South India.
Jawan is expected to hit it out of the park in terms of the box office by breaking every other film's records. The story is about a father and son's battle to eradicate the evil with an honest official helping them.
