Shah Rukh, the King Khan of Indian cinema, is all set to introduce director Atlee to Bollywood with their new movie 'Jawan'. The blockbuster maker has worked on this action entertainer for years to get it right. As the film is slated to release on September 7th, the makers have gotten it censored now.
According to the CBFC website, the board has awarded a 'U/A' certificate to Jawan. The runtime is revealed to be 2 hours 49 minutes and 14 seconds (169.14 minutes). A very few dialogues have been modified and some violent visuals have been trimmed. The deleted footage is around 4 seconds. The third single, 'Ramaiya', is expected to be launched soon.
The story is about the emotional journey of a man who takes on a menacing outlaw to get even with his past and remove evil. He gets help from a female officer and a group of women. Jawan, which is releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, has done record numbers in the pre-release business. It is expected to be one of the highest grossers of the year.
Jawan, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, also marks Anirudh Ravichander's Bollywood debut. The film stars SRK in dual roles with Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu and others with Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in cameo roles. GK Vishnu takes care of the cinematography with editing by Ruben.
