Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is positively going for the kill in Poland, with 80 percent advance bookings reported for his movies at yet another Indian film festival in the country!

After the success of his movies at the Cieszyn film festival in July, Gutek distributors have arranged a three-day festival of Indian movies for Polish cine goers here.

It includes three Shah Rukh films - "Main Hoon Na", "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" and "Kal Ho Na Ho" along with three other movies, "Pather Panchali", "Aawara" and "Salaam Bombay".

The representative of Gutek distributors told film critics at a preview that the cinema hall concerned had already seen up to 80 percent advance bookings for Shah Rukh's films.

"The response is so encouraging that we will exhibit Shah Rukh's movies throughout Poland now. After the Warsaw film festival, we will hold another festival in Krakow, the medieval capital of Poland, in the first week of October."

Anil Wadhwa, the Indian ambassador to Poland, said: "With the changing profile of India in contemporary times, it is not surprising that Bollywood will make its presence felt in the Polish market also."

Anna Bem, an Indophile who loves Indian culture and films, said: "Wadhwa is the real man to promote modern cinema in Poland.

"First, he encouraged the distributor to exhibit 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' and it was a windfall for the distributor. Now he has prompted the distributor to go far a commercial kill."
