What he is missing in Kollywood, Shaam is compensating in Tollywood. Shaam is fast turning into a saleable name in Telugu cinema and he is bagging some real good projects there. Shaam’s career in Tollywood started on a very high note after his debut Telugu film ‘Kick’ became a stupendous hit. He repeated his role when ‘Kick’ was remade in Tamil as ‘Thillalangadi’.

Very recently his second Telugu movie ‘Kathi’ hit the screens and Shaam's role is getting rave reviews from critics. Now Shaam is acting in two films simultaneously in Telugu.

One is Veera, in which he shares the screen space with Ravi Teja who gave him a big break with ’Kick’. Shaam is again doing a cop role and ‘Aadukalam’ heroine Tapsee is his lady in the film. The other is ‘Kshethram’ is which he performs as a solo hero for the first time in Telugu. Priyamani will shake her legs with him for this movie.

While talking about the successes he has been getting in Telugu, Shaam is also grieved for not getting his due recognition in Tamil. He says “In Tamil, I got a flying start with super hit films. But unfortunately I couldn't travel in the same track continuously. But now I realised a lot and got some maturity in selecting films and my roles”.

Shaam is doing a film in Tamil for director VZ Durai. Shaam further says “I'm assuring that in future the Tamil and Telugu fans will see a different Shaam in different genre of movies.
