'Shaakuntalam' is going to hit the screens on February 17. On Wednesday, producer Neelima Guna, presenter Dil Raju and director Gunasekhar unveiled a song titled 'Mallika Mallika'.

Sung by Ramya Behara, the composition is splendid. Mani Sharma gets into a Melody Brahma mould. Chaitanya Prasad's lyrics are in literary Telugu. The tune is a slight throwback to a song from Mahesh Babu's 'Arjun', which too was made in the combination of Gunasekhar and Mani Sharma.

Shot on Samantha Ruth Prabhu and others, the song's art direction and dance choreography (by Raju Sundaram) are expected to take it to the next level.

'Shaakuntalam' has been in the making for a long time. "The pre-production took one year, while the post-production took about 1.5 years. The shoot took six to seven months," the director recently said.

The film's cinematography is by Shekar V Joseph.
