'Shaakuntalam' has Samantha praise Gunasekhar to heavens

Samantha Akkineni is done with the shoot of 'Shaakuntalam', which is directed by Gunasekhar. On Thursday evening, the superstar actress took to social media and said that the film, a mythological drama, will stay with her for the rest of her life.
Adding that she used to believe in fairy tales as a little girl, the 'Majili' actress confessed that not much has changed for her. Describing Gunasekhar as her fairy godfather for making her dream a reality, Sam shared a pic of herself hugging the 'Okkadu' director.
The 'Oh Baby' actress further wrote, "When he narrated this film to me I was immediately transported to a most beautiful world .. the world of Shaakuntalam.. a world like no other. But I was nervous and scared. Was it possible for us to create such beauty on celluloid?"
The 'Family Man 2' actress called the 'Rudramadevi' director an incredible human for creating a world that has exceeded all expectations. "The inner child in me is dancing with joy," Sam concluded.
With music by Mani Sharma, the film is backed by Dil Raju. Its release date is yet to be announced.
