Sanal Kumar Sasidharan's critically acclaimed movie 'Sexy Durga' won the Tiger award in the Hivos Tiger Competition, International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). With this prestigious award the movie has made a mark in the history of Indian Cinema by becoming the first ever Indian movie to win the Tiger award. The movie which has no biggies involved brings more pride to Malayalam cinema in particular, by bringing an International exposure to the industry.

Touted to be a thrilling satire, Sexy Durga conveys through a fictionalized true story on how the community dishonours a woman when she is sexually abused, sensationalizing the incident and the other outrages. Rajasri Deshpande of Angry Indian Goddesses- fame plays the title role in the movie. Produced under the banner of Nivi Art Movies, the movie also stars Vishnu Vedh, Sujeesh K. S, Kannan Nair, Arun Sol, Baiju Neeto, Sujith Koyikal, Vishnujith and Bilas Nair in important roles.
