If nothing else, this will prove why one should be judicious in what they are letting their child watch, especially TV serials. A seven year old girl in Kolkata had tried to mimic a suicide scene from the TV serial she was watching, and lost her life.

The seven year old girl along with her 2 month old brother were left alone by her mother as she wanted to deposit money in the post office. The father who is a mason was also not present. The girl had wrapped a scarf around the ceiling fan playfully, and according to police the scarf got wrapped around tightly.

Though suffocation is said to be cause of death, an official report of autopsy is awaited. The incident happened in Ichhapore and reportedly the girl used to always try to mimic the things she finds interesting on TV. 

As children are very impressionable, it is the responsibility of parents and elders to regulate the content that young kids watch. Comment your opinions below.
