Arjun’s success seems to have spawned a new trend in Tollywood.

The Mahesh Babu starrer is running to packed houses as much for his sparkling histrionics as it is for the eye-capturing authentic sets of the Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple got up by the redoubtable Thota Tharani.

Now, that seems to have proved pretty infectious as almost every producer is taking extra care in coming up with large sets.

A special set is being erected at Padmalaya and Annapurna studios for just a song to be pictured on Balakrishna and Ankita for the film Vijayendra Varma. Originally this song was supposed to be shot abroad. But things have changed now.

Similarly, a near Rs.One crore worth set has been erected for Venkatesh’s new film Subhas Chandra Bose. For this period film, producer Ashwini Dutt, known for his larger than life projections, is balking at no costs. The set has come up near Vuravakonda and the shooting is currently on there.

Looks like Tollywood is set for more sets.
