Telugu producers are cribbing that it is no longer viable to make films any more.

Their grouse is that the heroes' salary cheque eats a huge chunk into their budget. The producers have cried themselves hoarse from rooftops asking the stars to cut down on their payment. But it has not been to any avail.

But somebody else is showing the way to the heroes. Successful director Rajamouli (Simhadri, Sye, Student No 1) has reportedly cut on the money owed to him by the producers of his film Chatrapathi. He took the decision owing to the fact that the film's budget was going above the expected mark.

Now, are the heroes ready to follow suit?
