Actors Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan got electrocuted nearly to death while shooting in neck deep water on the sets of ‘Tum Mile’. The film’s shoot was on for 45 days in water as the film has a backdrop of Mumbai Floods. This is when one day actors of the film nearly got electrocuted to death, as there were almost a hundred electric cables lying unattended. No one had any clue about the mains from where they were connected as the light department people were not there that day.

Emraan, Soha and Kunal Deshmukh the director used to spend almost all their time on the sets even when not shooting because they used to be discussing and analyzing the scenes. It was on one such day they stepped inside the water. Sooner a light boy came running and screamed loudly that the cables were plugged and Emi, Soha & Kunal had stepped inside the water while he sent another boy to locate & switch off the mains immediately. The mains were put off as by chance they were located on time, which saved Soha, Emi & Kunal.

Says the director of the film Kunal Deshmukh that “I have never experienced fear of such great extent in my entire life! When I realized that we could have all been dead the next moment had the connections not been put off on time, sends shivers down my throat even till today. Thank God that we are all safe and sound”

Soha Ali Khan when contacted also said that “After one incident in Cape Town where I nearly drove the car off the cliff, I had a narrow escape from death on the sets of Tum Mile again where I stepped into a water body full of electricity. I could only thank God for actually giving me a second lease of life that day & I am very sure that I would never do a disaster film again”

Emraan quoted- “It is my worst nightmare and had the electric current been on a high voltage or had the connections not been taken off at the right time, we would have been no more for sure. I still get goose bumps recalling that moment. In fact I never want to remember that accident. I can only say that it taught us to be more cautious in life, Life is too precious to waste.”

Stay cool guys, life teaches a lesson for everyone!
