Director Radha Mohan is very cautious that he should not fall for that second film syndrome.

He is taking extra care Ponniyin Selvan starring Ravikrishna also turns out to be a clean entertainer like his debut venture Azhagiya Theeyae did.

He says 'Ponniyin Selvan has come good and it would certainly succeed'. Soon after I completed Azhagiya Theeyae, I was given the task of directing a movie for A M Rathnam which was a pleasant surprise for me.

Expectations are also high on me and I hope to live up to it. A positive talk about the movie even before its release has given me good confidence'.

A great fan of directors Balu Mahendra, Manirathinam, Shankar and Dharani, Radha Mohan says, 'though the Tamil film industry is limping around, it will prosper only when the audience get ready to watch newcomers and youngsters without any reservation'.

He also says action and masala alone does not make good cinema.
