Thalapathy Vijay's family entertainer 'Varisu' is preparing for a theatrical release on January 11. Meanwhile, it has been reported that a technical artist who worked in the crew of the much awaited film has passed away.

Renowned art director Sunil, who originated from the Malayalam industry, breathed his last on January 5th. He worked as a production designer in Varisu. The 50-year-old technician passed away following a cardiac arrest on Thursday night. Earlier in the week Sunil was admitted to the Amritha Hospital in Ernakulam after he developed a swelling on his leg.

Sunil Babu is a former associate of Sabu Cyril and had worked as a production designer in many big films in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu & Hindi. The film industry and fans are mourning his death. Dulquer Salmaan took to his social media to express that he is heartbroken over the art director's demise.
