During an event of 'Kavacham' in November, cinematographer Chota K Naidu planted a sudden peck on Kajal Aggarwal, receiving flak from sections of audience and commentators. The cameras couldn't capture the cameraman's comments immediately after he kissed the actress without notice.

He was seen saying something to those on the stage. As decoded later, this what Chota said: "Kajal just kissed Mehreen Pirzada before me. Then, music director Thaman told me I can't do such a thing to Kajal. I thought why can't I do that? That's why I kissed her".

Kajal has opened up on the controversial issue. She has told a media house that Chota later apologized to her if he embarrassed her by kissing her without consent. Since the beauty has known the cinematographer for many years, she took it lightly as she knows he has no "bad intentions".
