Director Selvaraghavan is currently shooting for 'Mannavan Vandhanadi' which stars Santhanam in the lead role. The maverick director's horror flick 'Nenjam Marappathillai' is ready for release. He will be soon teaming up with actor Suriya for a film and this will be his first film with a top league star apart from his younger brother Dhanush.
Last year Selva started shooting for 'Kaan with Silambarasan which was eventually dropped after a few schedules of shooting. He was also supposed to do a film with Kamal Haasan, Vijay and Ajith but none of them panned out and were dropped after initial stages of discussion.
With Ajith. Selva was supposed to do a gangster film based in North Chennai and it was also titled as 'Kasi Medu'. However the film did not happen and for the first time in a recent interview the 'Pudhupettai' director has opened up about the same.
He has said that every film goes on floors after a lot of stages of discussion and only if a film was dropped after going to floors it can be called as shelved. With regards to his film with Ajith. Selva said that he just had some discussions with Ajith sir, and the idea stopped in that stage itself.
The same applies to his proposed projects with Vijay and Kamal Haasan.
Selva clarified that this does not mean he had any kind of fight or misunderstanding with those stars and they just parted ways as friends as they could not get consensus in their discussions.
He also said he is eager to work with all the stars and he maintains a good relationship with all the leading stars of Kollywood.
