Selvaraghavan is one of the few directors who has a cult fan following that is equal to a hero and irrespective of the box office fate of his films they continue to celebrate him as an icon of the current generation of filmmakers.

Selva has currently completed the scripting work for his next movie that has his younger brother and frequent collaborator Dhanush in the lead role. The film will go on floors in the first quarter of 2021.

Selvaraghavan is also making his acting debut in a new movie 'Saani Kaayidham' costarring Keerthy Suresh and the first look of the film that released a few weeks back has won wide appreciation.

Arun Matheswaran's debut movie 'Rocky' starring Bharathiraja and Vasanth Ravi is also much talked about and director Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara have acquired it for release under their banner Rowdy Pictures.
