Dhanush unveiled that 'D50' is 'Raayan' with a stupendous first-look poster featuring himself along with Kalidas Jayaram and Sundeep Kishan. The film is said to be a revenge drama with the three leads playing brothers. This project marks the second directorial project of Dhanush.

Reportedly, Dhanush's brother and director Selvaraghavan has done a cameo role in 'Raayan'. Meanwhile, buzz sparked that the film's script is written by Selvaraghavan but Dhanush is credited as the writer-director. Selva took to social media and clarified that he has no involvement in the movie's writing or direction. He added that it was Dhanush's dream script. His post is going viral now.

His post says, "Friends , heard reports that I have written the script for D 50 RAAYAN. I clarify that I have NOTHING to do with ‘ RAAYAN ‘ s script or scripting process. It’s purely @dhanushkraja s dream script and now he has made it in to his own film. I am merely an actor in this project. Like all of you I cannot wait to watch #Raayan in theatres. Proud of my brother @dhanushkraja and his hard work and dedication" (sic).
