Just a few weeks after Hailey Bieber opened up about the backlash she faced when she began dating singer Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez's ex and Hailey's now-husband, Hailey and Selena posed together for a series of sweet photos at the 2022 Academy Museum Gala. The annual event was held on October 15 in Los Angeles.

Selena and Hailey posed for a photo taken by professional BTS party photographer Tyrell Hampton at the Academy Museum Gala in LA in which they were seen giving each other a warm hug. The stars were dressed to the nines, looking stunning in their outfits.

Leaving her hair loose with a centre partition, Hailey wore a brown cutout Saint Laurent gown with a rather risque upper half — featuring a strapless bra — and a fishtail-shaped bottom. Selena, on the other hand, kept it stylish in a black blazer that she paired with matching black trousers. She, too, left her hair loose and flashed her million-dollar smile as she posed with the model.

The photos of the two ladies hugging, chatting and even sharing pleasantries, sent fans and Twitterati into a meltdown. For the unversed Justin and Selena dated on and off for eight years. During their breaks, he was linked to Hailey and Sofia Richie, among several others. However, after reconciling for the last time in late 2017, they called it quits by March of the following year, around the same time Justin rekindled his romance with Hailey, whom he married in 2018.
