Sekhar Kammula yesterday watched a Gandhi movie with hundreds of school children at Devi 70mm in Hyderabad. The show was screened at the theatre as part of the Telangana government's initiative to celebrate the 75th year of Indian independence.
"The film gave me goosebumps as I watched the kids clap and applaud when the English judge stands up as Gandhi walks into the courtroom; when Gandhi decides to fast against the Chauri Chaura incident. The list goes on. Truly an exhilarating experience to be a part of the euphoria. Catch the film wherever you can," the 'Love Story' and 'Fidaa' director tweeted.
Kammula, known for many feel-good hits, will be working on a Telugu-Tamil bilingual starring Dhanush next year.
Last year, his film with Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi was a hit. "'Love Story' is an important film that portrays its organic love story, the question of caste-based discrimination, and the social evil of abuse in an engrossing manner," our review stated.
