Sekhar Kammula has loved 'Needhi Naadhi Oke Katha'. Starring Sree Vishnu, Devi Prasad (as the hero's father) and Satna Titus, the same is directed by Venu Udugula.
Having watched the film, he says, "This seems to be like our own story. And it's exciting. It's a big thing that this is the debut film for the director. Hats-off to him for telling a mature subject in a lively fashion. We are constricting our children in the name of studies, EAMCET, marks, etc.
We have built walls around them. If they fail in these areas, they are branded as useless. 'NNOK' depicts the pressure that youngsters go through. Parents put a lot of pressure on their children rather unconsciously. The film's protagonist (played by Sree Vishnu) turns into someone whose only aim is to earn his parents' applause."
He further said, "This film has also shown the father-son relationship in a mature way. Sree Vishnu's performance is a notch higher than that in his previous films. His Rayalaseema slang is both rib-tickling and evokes emotions. Films like this should be made. I wish the entire team all the best."
The film will hit the screens on March 23.
