Former Indian cricket team opener Virender Sehwag has slammed Chennai Super Kings team for their miserable run in the 2020 IPL campaign, and has said that some of their players think of the franchise as a government job where they're paid irrespective of performance.
Sehwag's strong criticism comes after CSK choked chasing a total of 168 on Wednesday. The team scored 157 for five and got to its fourth defeat in five matches despite a superb 50 from opener Shane Watson.
Sehwag has said in a recent interview that the score should have been chased down and the dot balls played by Kedar Jadhav and Ravindra Jadeja didn't help. He added that some of the Chennai Super Kings batsmen think CSK as a government job, and that they'll get their salary even if they don't perform.
