Former Swashbuckling Indian opener Virender Sehwag has been known for his on field swag, and his ability to plunder any attack with utmost ease and his devil may care attitude as he thwarts the opposition with his blitzkrieg knocks. The cricketer has now been focusing on various other things apart from cricket.

There were rumours recently that Sehwag will contest elections from BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, but reportedly Sehwag has refused the offer from the party citing  personal reasons. Sehwag was considered for West Delhi, but he had said that he was neither interested in politics not contesting elections.

Last month there were rumours on him contesting elections from Rohtak, and Sehwag had tweeted "Some things never change, like this rumour. Same in 2014, and no innovation in rumour even in 2019. Not interested then, not interested now". On the other hand, his former teammate Gautam Gambhir has been very much focused on political entry.
