Tamil story writer Souba, who murdered his son dies

Popular Tamil writer Soundarapandian known in literary circles as Souba passed away at Madurai government hospital where he was admitted due to complications of high blood sugar levels. Even though the doctors tried to conduct surgery but it was of no avail as he passed away last night.

Souba was lodged in the Madurai Central Prison for murdering his 27 year old son Vipin on May 9th who allegedly was an alcoholic and drug addict and caused constant trouble at the household. The writer hit his son with a hammer and killed him at their farmhouse.

Souba wrote the story of 'Seevalaperi Pandi' starring Napolean and Saranya and directed by Prathap Pothen which became a super hit.
