Director Seenu Ramasamy's 'Idam Porul Eval' has been completed long back, but it is struggling to release due to financial issues faced by its producers. Now the director has teamed up again with Vijay Sethupathi for the film 'Dharmadurai' which went on floors last week. The film is being produced by R.K.Suresh of Studio 9 banner.

Recently there were rumors that the film is based on Jallikattu the famous bull tampering event held every year in Madurai suburbs and other south Tamil Nadu localities which has been banned by the Supreme Court now.

However the director has refuted this as a mere rumor and has clarified that 'Dharmadurai' is not based on Jallikattu.

The film will mark the first time pairing up of Vijay Sethupathi and Tamannah, while Aishwarya Rajesh and Shrushti Dange will be playing other female lead roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores, music while Vairamuthu has written all the songs.
