Director Ponram has directed two hit movies starring Siva karthikeyan, namely Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajnimurugan, and their third movie together, Seemaraja, also starring Samantha, Simran and Napoleon was not a commercial success, and now the director is all set to begin his next.

Ponram is all set to begin his next movie which will star Sasikumar in lead role, and as per sources, the shooting of this untitled movie begins on September 10. Said to be a rural family movie, this one will also star veteran actor Rajkiran in an important supporting role.

It must be noted that Rajkiran had earlier starred in Ponram's hit Rajnimurugan, and after composing music for all three movies of Ponram, yet again D Imman will score music for this movie too. After finishing this project, next year Ponram will direct Vijay Sethupathi in a movie produced by Karthik Subbaraj.
