Director Seeman who is presently lodged in Vellore prison is slapped with National Security Act by the Tamil Nadu government today.

Seeman was arrested last week allegedly for making an inflammatory speech during a demonstration organised in Chennai to condemn the cruel attacks on Rameswaram fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy.

A special police team served the notice to Seeman at Vellore prison today. Earlier in February 2009, Seeman was detained under the NSA by the Tirunelveli City Police. But he was released by the High Court order which said his detention was illegal.
