Seeman's Naam Thamizhar party which had fielded 20 men and 20 women in the Lok Sabha elections, has secured a considerable percentage of votes. In most of the constituencies they have secured third or fourth positions, and from 1.1% votes in the 2016 election, now they have reached close to 4%.
In such a situation in a recent media interaction,Seeman said that people want change, and Naam Thamizhar's effort in this election was huge, but the end result was not fruitful, Seeman said that media did not cover their campaigns and that despite all this, he sees the results as a start of a change and Naam Thamizhar will work even better next elections.
When questioned on Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam securing third position in many constituencies, Seeman said that Kamal did not make any contribution, and that he deals with politics just as he acts in films. "Kamal has acted for 50 years, and people know him well, and just because he is white people think he won't speak lies. We can't say if he can face similar losses in next elections. Naam Thamizhar's motive is bigger but they don't have any such motive" said Seeman.
