As reported earlier, the shoot of Mohanlal’s maiden directorial venture ‘Barroz’ has begun and is progressing at a brisk pace in Kochi. On Tuesday, the movie's cinematographer Santhosh Sivan shared a cool selfie with the complete actor. The picture has Mohanlal in a never seen before avatar. Wearing a T-shirt paired with a shirt, the actor is seen wearing some quirky accessories including gold-toned chains and four lens glasses. Well, the picture has already set social media on fire.

Santosh Sivan and Mohanlal's friendship needs no introduction. The duo has worked together in several blockbusters including ‘No.20 Madras Mail', ‘Kaalapaani’, 'Yodha', 'Iruvar', etc.

Barroz: The Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure, the big-budget 3D film is set against the backdrop of the maritime history of Portugal, India, and Africa. Penned by Jijo Punnoose, who made the first 3D film in India, My Dear Kuttichathan (1984), the movie is produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas is producing the film. Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad is in charge of the edits. Child prodigy Lydian Nadhaswaram is composing the music for the film.
