At a crowded gathering in the presence of DIG Roopa the trailer of the Kannada film ‘Second Half’ with caption as first half was released at Renukamba Digital theatre in Malleswaram, Bengaluru.

The special attraction was DIG Roopa and as the subject of ‘Second half’ is on the findings of status of a woman police constable by director Yogi Devaganga the related department senior cop was invited for the trailer launch.

‘Second Half’ film hero is Priyanka Upendra said DIG Roopa after watching the trailer. The life of Mahila Police constable would get further strength and respect. In the department it is constables who do the right ground work. Off late some areas have been fixed as responsibility to constables. This is increasing their value at their work. Especially this kind of film would empower women in the department pointed the first woman IPS officer from Karnataka DIG Roopa.

For director Yogi the inspiration is DIG Roopa. In the narration he has worked on quixotic situation of a woman constable and given screenplay in natural style and not decorated. Emotions carry throughout the film he stated.

Priyanka Upendra was thrilled with the presence of DIG Roopa and sharing dais is a great opportunity she felt. On Niranjan the boy from her house (Upendra elder brother Sudeendra son), acting in my film is very special. He has stood by me in the film. director Yogi has given his best and he has a few more films in his mind.

Producer Nagesh wife Ambika Nagesh thanked for the presence of senior cop and she did not expected her to be so humble and cooperative.

Niranjan making debut felt extremely happy for real life cop DIG Roopa madam gracing the occasion. Music director Chetan Soska has done four songs for this film that has one introduction song for Niranjan. Yogaraj Bhat and Yogi Devaganga penned lyrics for the songs.

Producer Nagesh observed that he should thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Earlier we thought of ‘Gandhi Notu’ as subject. But the demonetization of Prime Minister Narendra Modi stopped us from taking that film. We had discussed on this aspect in the film but took up this subject ‘Second Half’.
