A 68-year-old woman has passed away in Delhi after she had tested positive for coronavirus, thus becoming the second death due to the global pandemic in India.This woman was the sixth case of coronavirus reported Delhi and she also had health issues such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

This woman from West Delhi had been with her son who got infected with the virus during his travel to Switzerland and Italy last month. It has been said that her son did not show any symptoms initially.

However her son reported to Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on March 7 after suffering from fever and cough. Following the procedure, the family was screened and both the mother and son had symptoms of COVID-19 and were admitted. The woman's health worsened on March 9 due to pneumonia and was moved to ICU and she tested positive for coronavirus. Due to respiratory issues and comorbidity, the woman died yesterday.
