Last week, Vikramarkudu opened to a spirited opening. The double whammy from Ravi Teja was a masala special. The movie was aimed at the masses and it seems to have paid dividends.

Vikramarkudu, with action, comedy and some glamour (Anushka’s skin show has gone down well) is already on the way to becoming a hit.

Now keeping with this spirit, we will have Asthram releasing in a couple of days (June 30, to be precise).

Asthram is another masala potboiler. Again like Vikramarkudu, Asthram too will have high-voltage action, comedy, sturdy music and glamour.

Starring Vishnu in the lead, Asthram will again showcase the ‘vitalstatistics’ of Anushka, the actress who is on a white-hot streak.

The redoubtable Suresh Krishna directs Asthram while Supreme Music Raju Hirwani is producing this on Supreme Movies banner. SA Raj Kumar has scored the music.

Sarath Babu, Sumalatha, Rahul Dev, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Ravi Prakash, Raghubabu, Jeeva, Rallapalli and others are in the cast..
