It is difficult to adjudicate a race when there are no clear winners.

A competition by definition needs a winner and a loser. But in the case of Tollywood releases over the last few weeks, there has been none of the former.

All the big-ticket releases of the season have just not whetted the appetite of the fans.

The festive season’s start has been bit of a damp squib for the film buffs.

Chatrapathi, Political Rowdy last week, Allari Pidugu this week, have not got the thumbs from the fans.

Of course, it may be slightly premature to say whether Allari Pidugu is a hit or not, the word of mouth has not been so encouraging.

In the event, the focus of attention shifts to Bhageeradha, the next week’s big release starring Ravi Teja and Shreya.

But the season of discontent continues in Tollywood.
