Ahead of schools reopening in Andhra Pradesh from Monday, AP Commissioner of School Education V China Veerabhadrudu on Saturday made a few important announcements.

He reiterated that schools will be reopened from November 2 for Standard IX and Standard X. The government has mandated that students should be divided into blocks and be let in only on alternate days. Schools will be only for half a day.

Each classroom will accommodate up to 16 students to ensure that social distancing norms are met.

Standards VI to VIII will be resumed from November 23. Standards I to V will be resumed from December 14.
