Ever since the Coronavirus pandemic began in India, educational institutions have been closed with online education being implemented. With the relaxations in place, all educational institutions are getting reopened gradually.

It has now been revealed that after the recent feedback collection from public and various people, regarding the reopening of schools in Tamil Nadu after the pongal festival holidays, a detailed important report on the same will be filed today.

After the central government nod to reopen schools, several states have planned to reopen schools from this month and in Tamil Nadu, the feedback meeting for this was held on January 7 and 8. As education minister Sengottaiyan had said public examinations will be held for 10th and 12th standard, there was a need for schools to be reopened but due to the spread of new mutated strains of Coronavirus, the decision had been discussed in the feedback meeting, and as per reports, 80% parents have agreed for reopening of schools in this meeting.
