Lately, there have been an increase in the number of crimes registered against teachers. Those who should be taking care of children and giving them the best education are turning violent. The recent incident where an Andhra Pradesh principal ruthlessly beating up the students has shocked everyone.

Venkataramana has been working as the principal of the givernment run Tribal Welfare Residential Boys Scool at Dargamitta, Nellore. Venkataramana had allegedly removed the clothes of the students before thrashing them. Reportedly he had even banged the heads of students on to the wall. Students have stated to the police that this has been going on more than a year.

It should also be noted here that when parents earlier had approached Venkataramana pertaining to his behaviour with students, he would scold them in front of the students and made them leave the premises. Police has now filed a case on Venkataramana after receiving a complaint from one of the students parents.
