Coronavirus effect has been coming under control in Tamil Nadu where the lockdown ends on October 31, though there's a fear that the festive season might again have an impact on the virus spread. In such a situation, chief minister Edappadi Palanisamy had a video conference session with district collectors along with Deputy CM O Panneerselvam, Health secretary Radhakrishnan and few other officials.
Edappadi Palanisamy said that people must be cautious during the festive season, and revealed that so far the government had spent 7372 crores and 25 lakhs for corona treatment and relief activities. Adding that 35% people in the state don't wear masks, Edappadi Palanisamy said that police officers must constantly create awareness and district administration must also ensure it to establish corona free districts.
Further, Edappadi Palanisamy said that TN government's swift actions have helped control the spread of Coronavirus in the state and added that a decision on reopening of schools and colleges will be taken after taking the suggestions of district collectors and a medical team.
