Savyasachi Trailer Review: A Tricky Battle

In a remarkable way, the Trailer begins with that very shot with which the Teaser ended. Madhavan is sinister, a classy-looking smart one at that. He is out to put the hero in a dicey situation.

The focus on the left hand of Naga Chaitanya's character is understandable. It doesn't listen to him, with the Vanishing Twin Syndrome kicking in at the wrong time at times. Nidhhi Agerwal is at the receiving end of a 'Hello Brother'-type slap on the butt. The director seems to have balanced action, sentiment and romance.

To be sure, Chay gives out some earnest expressions in the Trailer. The entire film rests on his and Madhavan's characters and, as such, their performance has to be seasoned. If the antagonist has a trendy den (art direction is by Ramakrishna) from where he operates, the hero is confounded by the person on the other end of the phone call.

MM Keeravani's RR and Yuvaraj's colour palette are welcome. Ram-Lakshman's fights must be tricky, given the whimsical left hand.

The thriller also features Rao Ramesh, Mukul Dev, Vennela Kishore, Dishita Sehgal, Thagubothu Ramesh and Bharath Reddy. Editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. Story, dialogues, and screenplay are by Chandoo Mondeti, the director.

The film will hit the screens on November 2.
