Director M.Anbazhagan debuted with 'Sattai' which dealt with the problems in Government schools and won widespread critical acclaim. Now the young director has completed his second film titled as 'Roobai'.
Actor Kayal and Anandi who made their debut with director Prabhu Solomon's critically acclaimed film 'Kayal' have paired up again for this film.
Speaking about his second film Anbazhagan says "'Sattai' was my first film, but I consider 'Roobai' also as my first film since the plot of this film is entirely different from my first. The film is a journey about money which is indispensable for everyone. Greed for money is the root cause for all miseries. This is what I have tried to convey through my film. The story is about two close friends living in Theni. They own a lorry which is their only asset. They come to Chennai on a big contract. While returning they commit small mistake out of greed for money and due to that they get embroiled in a conspiracy thread. Whether they escape from it forms the rest of the film. It will have ample comedy and refreshing romance. The film can be called as a travel about money"
D.Imman has rendered the musical score and the songs have been released on October 26.
